“Doyle’s Global Leadership Program provides students a remarkable opportunity to explore the world’s most pressing economic, environmental, and social challenges, and helps them develop research and communications skills needed to achieve great things beyond high school. Global Leadership students are among the most passionate, enthusiastic, and informed students I have met. I would want my own child to participate in a course like this.”

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
In a world that is increasingly complex, faced with challenges that move across borders and experiences, global leadership has never been more important. The ability to think critically and creatively about problems, to recognize diverse perspectives, and to consider responses that are inclusive, sustainable, and positively impact both the current situation and the future is at a premium.
The Ambassadors of the Future certificate program fosters the capacity of young people to engage in public policy and international relations through academic skill, practical application, and connection with thought and policy leaders.
A concentration of courses provides all students with skills that will serve them well for post-secondary study, especially those whose destination is the Humanities and/or Social Sciences. Students will develop their ability for public speaking, critical thinking, research, and collaboration – amongst others – while participating in classroom learning and political simulation.
The program emphasizes active learning, engagement with current events, and activities that are engaging and robust. The core course (Global Leadership) is taught with a focus on learning from an international perspective. The remaining course requirements allow students to select classes that best meet their interest and academic pathway but continue to develop their skills as a global leader. The course will provide work eligible for the International Certificate Program.

The addition of socially-focused volunteer hours and participation in the Model UN highlights the vision and goals of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations.
Global leadership has never been in greater demand, and the Ambassadors for the Future certificate program provides students the opportunity to develop their capacity to change the world for the better. Don’t miss this opportunity; you are needed more than ever.
